Like many vacuum cleaners, the modern Rainbow Cleaning System uses a two-stage filtration system. Most vacuums though, use two solid filters. The first filter is a bit coarser, in the vain hope that it will take longer to clog, then the second filter does its best to clean the air coming out of the vacuum. The thing is though, even that second filter can’t be as good at catching the finest particles of dust and allergens as it could be, or it, too, would clog. A Vortex of Water to Filter the Air Instead of a filter of fiber, foam, paper, or cloth, all of which can easily get clogged, the Rainbow Cleaning System uses a swirling vortex of water, powered by our state-of-the-art Hurricane brushless stepped-induction motor. Wet dust can’t fly—at least most forms of it can’t—so the vast majority of dust, debris, dirt, hair, and other things you’d rather not have on your floor get trapped by the water, instead of clogging up your filter. At the end of each session, replacing the filter with a brand-new one that’s ready to go at 100% the next time, is as easy as dumping out a small bowl of water, rinsing it, and putting it back! And because the water filtration system is continually renewed, by the vortex motion while you vacuum, and with fresh water each time you bring the Rainbow out to use it, it remains completely effective at trapping dirt without reducing suction. A True HEPA Second Stage Because a few types of dust, such as drywall, masonry dust, or metallic particles, are unaffected by water, and to catch any stray microscopic particles of allergens or dust that do make it through, the Rainbow has a second stage at the air outflow, a genuine HEPA filter, of the same type and quality as those used in the world’s best dedicated air filters. Ordinarily, a filter this good would just get clogged in a matter of seconds. But since the water vortex is so good at trapping almost all of the dust (so good that previous generations of Rainbow didn’t even use a second stage!), our HEPA filter can go years between services, without clogging or reducing suction power. The Perfect Combo Water is nature’s best cleaner and filter. HEPA filters are the best filters technology has yet created. Combine them, and the Rainbow uses the perfect one-two punch to eliminate virtually all traces of dust, allergens, and particulates that exit the unit, leaving only fresh, clean, pure air coming back into your living space. It’s so good that the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America recently awarded the latest Rainbow Cleaning System with a certification as being asthma & allergy friendly. Even if you don’t suffer from either of those afflictions, everyone can benefit from cleaner air, and a healthier living environment, and that’s why the Rainbow Cleaning System is so much more than “just a vacuum cleaner!”

Can the Rainbow vacuum up water? The simple answer is: absolutely yes! In fact, not only can you pick up liquids with the Rainbow Cleaning System, you should. Let’s see how! Water Based CleaningThe Rainbow Cleaning System™ actually uses water in its everyday cleaning process. No, this doesn’t mean it gets your carpet wet; it uses a completely self-contained vortex of water as its primary filter, ensuring that any dust, pet hair, allergens, or other contaminants get wet. Since “Wet dust can’t fly,” this means the dust it picks up never re-enters the air of your home—not even when you empty it, unlike the puffs of dust that always seem to escape from vacuum bags, or the veritable cloud of it that flies everywhere when you empty a cyclone-type vacuum! Since water is incorporated into the Rainbow’s fundamental design, of course it can pick up water and other liquids safely! You should always check the owner’s manual, however, for information about specific liquids that may harm the Rainbow if they aren’t dealt with properly. But remember how we said not only can you vacuum up water, you should? Well, we offer two accessories that are designed to do just that! Turn Your Rainbow into the Ultimate MopThe Rainjet® is an accessory for the Rainbow Cleaning System that includes a self-contained reservoir of cleaning solution for linoleum, tile, and other hard floor surfaces. Once you spray, interchangeable sponge and brush heads allow you to massage or scrub the mess away. Then, when you flip it over, a vacuum-powered squeegee blade picks up the water and the mess, leaving a clean, dry floor behind! To learn more about the Rainjet®, check out our article about it here [[link to Rainjet article]]. Suffice it to say, with the Rainjet®, the Rainbow is the best way to pick up spilled liquids, but even without it, it can do so as well as any shop vac. Deep Clean Your CarpetsThe other water-based accessory for the Rainbow is the Aquamate®. This is a larger, more powerful version of the Power Nozzle that basically turns your Rainbow into a capable and easy-to-use carpet cleaner. A self-contained reservoir—removable for easy filling—can hold either plain water or our specially-formulated Aquamate Carpet Cleaner solution. Then a wide-angle revolving brushroll massages deep into carpet fibers for a thorough cleaning and rinsing. Since the Rainbow can already pick up water with the central unit, it doesn’t need a separate tank for dirty water. Do you see why we don’t like to call the award-winning Rainbow Cleaning System just a “Rainbow Vacuum”? Can the Rainbow vacuum up water? The simple answer is: absolutely yes! Since the Rainbow can already pick up water with the central unit, it doesn’t need a separate tank for dirty water. Do you see why we don’t like to call the award-winning Rainbow Cleaning System just a “Rainbow Vacuum”? Pets are wonderful! Our furry friends give us love and companionship, and ask for little in return. Unfortunately they also give us hair and fur that they shed onto our carpets and furniture, and dander and other allergens that can harm people with allergies, or even cause you to develop new allergies over time. The good news is the Rainbow Cleaning System can help deal with all of these issues and more, to create a healthier living space for you, your family, and your guests. Powerful, Reliable Suction Most vacuums lose power as they suck up dirt and debris. That’s because no matter how good a normal cloth, paper, or foam filtration system is, eventually it gets clogged; in fact the better they are at trapping small particles like allergens, the faster they clog and the sooner they lose most of their suction! Even modern “vortex” or “whirlwind” vacuums are only delaying the problem, not solving it. The Rainbow, instead, uses a swirling vortex of water as its primary filtration system. Dust, dirt, debris, and, most importantly, pet hair get caught up in the constantly-moving sheet of water. Since wet dust—and wet pet hair—can’t fly, it can’t escape back into the room or clog up the second, more powerful HEPA filter inside. Industry-Leading Filtration A genuine HEPA filter is the last line of defense between all the stuff your Rainbow sucks up, and the air of your home. Our filter is designed to capture even the smallest particles, including allergens as tiny as grains of pollen or finely powdered pet dander. Since the water has already captured any and all larger particles like pet hair, the HEPA filter doesn’t get clogged. Not only does this allow us to focus on the ability of the filter to capture allergens rather than on its ability to stay free of clogs, most Rainbow vacuums can go years between the HEPA filter needing to be cleaned or replaced. Compare that to just a few individual cleaning sessions of an old-fashioned vacuum cleaner, and it’s clear why Rainbow was recently certified asthma & allergy friendly™ by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Better Cleaning, Better Air Quality, Healthier Living Thanks to the water filtration system and the Hurricane primary motor, the Rainbow is so good at cleaning your carpets that it’s able to eliminate dirt, dust, and allergens in your carpeting that other vacuums miss, even when they’re brand-new. This prevents those contaminants from being kicked up into the air as people—and pets—walk around and play. Then, because of its genuine HEPA air filter, it’s so good at cleaning the air that flows through it, that it’s also been certified as a “proven air cleaner designed to reduce air pollutants that contribute to poor indoor air quality” by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. Imagine that: a vacuum cleaner that’s also a certified air purification system! The bottom line is this: with the Rainbow Cleaning System in your pet-friendly home, you’ll be able to live healthier and keep your lovable furry companions at your side. Isn’t that a breath of fresh air? Few things help make your home feel, look, and smell fresher and cleaner than freshly mopped floors, but let’s be honest—and please pardon our pun—but isn’t it kind of a chore? Wringing out the mop over and over, dealing with a heavy, bulky bucket … it’s just no fun. Fortunately, the Rainbow Cleaning System offers an accessory called the Rainjet. It turns your Rainbow Cleaning system into the best “mop” ever and it’s about to change the way you view this once-dreaded chore forever! The Mop’s Dilemma The problem with mopping is that it’s always a balancing act between three things, and you can never optimize all three at once. They are:
So most people end up cutting corners, and mop with a mop that’s barely even damp, which means the floors don’t get clean, at least not unless you use a lot of elbow grease, but that makes about as much sense as washing a window without window cleaner. Sure you can do it by rubbing and rubbing, but isn’t it easier to use the right amount of cleaning solution instead? Enter the Rainjet Instead of a bulky, heavy bucket that risks sloshing soapy water (or even worse, dirty water after you’re done) all over your carpets, the Rainjet accessory has a perfectly sized reservoir for water and cleaning solution built right in to the handle. It’s small enough to be light and easy to use, but big enough to tackle even the toughest cleaning jobs. With the Rainjet, you don’t have to worry about how much water you use, or how long it’ll take your floors to dry. See, when you turn over the Rainjet cleaning wand, there’s a vacuum-powered drying squeegee on the other side. Since the Rainbow Cleaning System uses a vortex of water as its primary filtration system anyway, it’s fully capable of sucking up excess water from around the squeegee as you clear away the water, dirt, and grime that used to be on your floor. Then you just empty out the easy-to-handle water reservoir in the Rainbow unit itself, just like you would after vacuuming your carpets, and you never have to risk sloshing dirty water around. It really is that simple, so what are you waiting for? Contact your nearest Rainbow dealer and pick up a Rainjet to go with your Rainbow today! |
